YOUTH BOXING
This class is a non-contact beginner level introduction to the fundamentals of boxing. Learn proper stance and technique, sequencing of moves and how to spar safely.

PARENTS’ NIGHT OUT
Once a month we like to offer our families a chance to get out for an evening of fun! Parents can rest assured that their child is in the care of qualified staff and will have a night of fun for themselves while they go out. The cost includes pizza and a craft. Takes place in the SAYMCA afterschool room.

TENNIS 2025
We welcome Chris Stambaugh as our new YMCA Tennis Pro. Chris Stambaugh is a native of Martinsburg, West Virginia and has been teaching tennis for over 30 years. Stambaugh is the vice president for the Staunton, Waynesboro, and Augusta County Tennis Association (SWAT). Stambaugh has coached at Chowan University (NC), Tiffin University (OH) and at his alma mater Shepherd University (WV) and at MBU. As a coach, Stambaugh’s teams have won a total of 12 conference championships and made one national Sweet Sixteen appearance in 2017. As a player, Stambaugh’s team won a conference title as a member of Shepherd in 1988. Chris resides in Staunton with his wife Holly and their two daughters, Samantha and Milena.

Pre-K P.E.
Ages 2 – 4
Bring your toddler to this P.E. class designed to facilitate exploration and develop confidence and social skills through free play. Toddlers will be led through various activities that encourage team work and problem solving and imagination. The instructor allows for plenty of flexibility with programming to reflect the interests and needs of those participating.

YOUTH EQUIPMENT ORIENTATION
Ages 12-14
All youth ages 12-14 must complete at least four one-hour appointments with a fitness instructor in order to use the Wellness Center. Sessions emphasize safety and alignment. See Front Desk to schedule an appointment.

Volunteer Corps
Ages 11-18
Are you tired of your children being a permanent arm’s length away from their phones or hibernating indoors glued to their TV? Do you want them to learn how to make a difference in their community while boosting their resume for college?
Youth Volunteer Corps is a network of affiliates hosted by non-profit organizations, schools or individuals that offer youth ages 11-18 the opportunity to serve their community.
